It Started With One Brutal Batch

In November of 2025 I made my first mead, a tri‑pepper fire mead I called Burning Hive. Sweet at first, brutal at last. I figured I'd make a bottle or two and move on. Instead I got completely hooked, and within a few months I'd brewed my way through peppers, teas, fruit, and flowers. What began as a curiosity turned into the thing I think about all day.

Old World Craft

Mead is one of the oldest drinks there is, and I like that I'm doing it the slow way, the way it's always been done. Raw honey, real ingredients, patience, and a lot of curiosity. I chase so many styles because honey can carry almost anything, and I'd rather try something strange and learn from it than make the same safe bottle twice. Every batch teaches me something.

Michiana Soul

I make all of this in South Bend, and this corner of Michiana is stamped on everything I brew. Right now it's a passion project, one person and a lot of honey, and I want to share it as I go: the recipes, the wins, and the batches that didn't work. If you love mead, or you're just curious about it, you're in the right place. Stick around.
